My working for q.9 is c=3u g1u the model of the cow you divide 1 u into 2 parts and you will get 6 units so, 3 units->162 1 unit->54 54x2=108 108+162=270#
you calculated the number of cows and goats left in the farm after half of the original amount was sold.But in the question they did not say whethere it was required to calculate the remaining sum of cow and goats or at first

Dear Msloh,how did you get the
anwser for question 9?
oh,and my anwser for question 9 is 432 heres the working:
cow =3u
goats =1u
3u dvided by 2 =1/1/2 u
1/1/2u=162,
1u=108
cow +goats=4u
4x108=432
Ms loh,how did you manage to get 270 for question 9?My answer was 432.
My working for q.9 is
c=3u
g1u
the model of the cow you divide 1 u into 2 parts and you will get 6 units
so,
3 units->162
1 unit->54
54x2=108
108+162=270#
ms loh how u get the answer for q9 should be 432
How to solve for qn 9:
1) Draw cows to be 3 units, goats to be 1 unit.
2) Given that half the cows are sold, we will be left with 1.5 units of cows.
3)1.5units = 162
1 unit = 108
2.5 units = 108 x 2.5
= 270#
*** 2.5 units because cows are left with 1.5 units and goats has 1 units.
Hope this will clarify. :)
WORK HARD!!! BUT DO REMEMBER TO RELAX...
but the number of cows is 3 times of goat
But miss loh,
you calculated the number of
cows and goats left in the farm after half of the original amount
was sold.But in the question they did not say whethere it was required to calculate the remaining sum of cow and goats or at first
Dear Zhang Le,
The question stated "when"... hence inferring that the cows had been halved.
Rgds,
Ms Loh
